Duplex steel screwed flanges in India are essentially a ring that is placed over the pipe end, with the flange face expanding from the end of the pipe by enough distance to apply a weld bead on the inside diameter.
It is useful for fluids at low pressure or with little risk of leakage. It is commonly used in, low-pressure compressed air lines, cooling water lines, firefighting water lines, and process lines for substances such as steam, condensates, oil & gas, etc. It can be produced from recycled or virgin steel or a combination of both.
It is usually welded onto pipes or screwed onto a threaded pipe end and then joined with bolts to make the connection. Duplex Steel Screwed Flange:- The Duplex Steel Screwed Elbow Fitting is a pipe fitting installed between two lengths of pipe or tube allowing a change of direction, usually 90° or 45°. The ends can be be machined for Duplex Steel Screwed (usually female), or socketed. When the two ends differ in size, it is called a Reducing or Reducer Elbow.
